Indeed, I also love my Leica X1. However, I seldom carry it in the full leather case. For one thing you cannot keep the viewfinder on while in the case. And, I have also found it rather a nuisance to get it out of the case to shoot a quick picture. That being said, it looks lovely and is well protected in the full leather case.
