Anonymous asked: I've recently purchased a D-Lux 5 with viewfinder and I was interested in the lens setup pictured on your post. Would you give me the particulars on the lens and the attachments?
Thanks for the question.
The setup I had on my DLux5 is a generic lens adaptor that allows on to add various lens modifications onto the camera - I had a wide angle lens adaptor attached. It is great to be able to customise the lenses. The down side is that the adaptors that one can purchase are seldom of the same lens quality as the great Leica lens on the camera (so I would see some barrelling and vignetting on my photos with this setup, but it was super wide!)
I have since moved on to using a Leica M8 with a 21mm super wide heliar Voigtlander lens, and a 50mm Nokton F1.1 lens - both are super lenses on a great camera body. The photos are amazing.
